Workshops, Panels, and Presentations
In the last decade, workplaces have demonstrated an increased concern for the health and well-being of employees, as well as increased value placed on workforce Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts. Organizations have realized the importance of creating a workspace where employees feel they are valued and respected for their unique social identities (e.g., race, ethnicity, citizenship, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or dis/ability), and feel that they belong. Additionally, organizations have increased their efforts in addressing employees’ physical and mental well-being, which are also impacted by employees’ experiences of inclusion and belonging at work.
I support organizations build inclusive climates by facilitating workshops focused on helping their Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and Asian | Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander employees gain new insights about themselves, learn tools to manage stress, and foster a sense of community. During these times when employees who belong to a marginalized group are experiencing heightened grief and trauma due to racism and violence, my workshops provide a safe space for employees to process and share their experiences with their peers, as well as experiential practices to help settle and soothe their nervous systems, so that they have increased capacity to fully engage in work and beyond.
